Jochen Brusch – violin
Studied at the conservatoires in Duisburg, Essen and Hanover.
Exam at "Staatliche Musikhochschule Ruhr" in 1980 and soloist’s diploma at
"Royal College of Music", London later the same year.
1980-86 violinist in "Herning Stadstrio", 1986-88 leader of the "Philharmonie Essen". Violinist in ”Suevia Klaviertrio” since 1989.
Artistic leader of "Junginger Herbstkonzerte", "Alte Synagoge Hechingen"
and "Musik am Fürstenhof".
Jochen Brusch has taught at various courses in Denmark, Germany, Bulgaria and
Italy.
He has performed at more than 1500 concerts in various European countries and
the USA and has made radio and TV productions as well as CD recordings.
The duo Jochen Brusch – Sven-Ingvart Mikkelsen
Since
1988 Jochen Brusch and Sven-Ingvart Mikkelsen have given a large number of
concerts together. Their repertoire includes original compositions for violin
and organ, but the two musicians furthermore widened the violin/organ repertoire
with a number of transcriptions of violin/orchestra works. Mainly the music is
taken from the baroque and the romantic period, but also modern music is
included in their programmes. The duo caused enthusiasm at quite a number of
concerts, presenting Sven-Ingvart Mikkelsen’s transcription for violin and
organ of Vivaldi’s wellknown and cherished "The Four Seasons".
Throughout the years an essential part of the duo’s repertoire was published
on CD, and the repertoire still develops: In the season 2001/02 with Bach’s 6
sonatas for violin and organ/harpsichord, a transscription of Sibelius: Violin
concerto, and new Danish Music for violin and organ.
In 1998 a CD was published with works of Wolf von Siebenthal for violin and
organ, dedicated to Brusch and Mikkelsen. And in November 1997 a CD was
published with Max Bruch’s 2nd Violin Concerto and Suite for Organ and
Orchestra with the two musicians as soloists.
The musical cooperation between Jochen Brusch and Sven-Ingvart Mikkelsen also resulted
in concert tours in Denmark, Germany, France and The USA as well as the CD’s
"Scandinavian Romantic music", "Poème" and Vivaldi: "The Four Seasons".
Anne Hye-Mi Shin - soprano
Born and raised in Denmark.
Studied at "Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama" in Glasgow with professor Patricia Macmahon and at
"Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Paris" with professor Glenn Chambers.
Exam at "Royal Scottish Academy" in 1998, and soloist’s diploma at
"Conservatoire de Paris" 2000. Advanced studies with Rachel Yakar.
Anne Shin has won several song competitions in Great Britain and France.
1994-96 she was appointed as a soloist at Glasgow Cathedral.
She has sung solo parts in Brahm’s "Requiem", Fauré’s "Requiem", Bach’s
"Johannes-Passion", Handel’s "Messiah", Vivaldi’s "Gloria" and Tippett’s
"A Child of our Time".
Anne Hye-Mi Shin has performed at concerts in Scotland, England, France, Germany, Sweden and Denmark.
The duo Anne Hye-Mi Shin – Sven-Ingvart Mikkelsen
The musical cooperation between Anne Shin and Sven-Ingvart Mikkelsen started in Paris in 1998 and resulted in a number of concerts in Denmark, Sweden, France and
Germany.
The repertoire includes standard work from the baroque period and classic well known as well as rarely performed works from the romantic period. Furthermore, at several occasions the duo performed contemporary music. At the
"Salon de la Musique" in Paris May 2000 the two musicians represented Denmark, performing works for soprano and organ by Tage Nielsen and Peter Møller.
The duo has taken part in several music festivals in Danmark and Sweden, among others in
"Our Saviour’s Church", Copenhagen, in Haderslev Cathedral, at
"The Vendsyssel Festival", in Løgumkloster and in Visby Cathedral, Gotland.
Special attention aroused at the concerts where the duo performed Richard Strauss’s
"Vier Letzte Lieder" in Sven-Ingvart Mikkelsen’s version for soprano and organ.
The repertoire of the duo also includes works of Bach, Mozart, Brahms, Gade, César Franck, Debussy, Chausson, Hugo Wolf and Mendelssohn.
Sven-Ingvart Mikkelsen and Choirs
In the year of 1984 Sven-Ingvart Mikkelsen founded the "Kolding Chamber Choir" and when he settled down in Løgumkloster he took the initiative to establish the
"Løgumkloster Vocal Ensemble". He conducted the ensemble until 2002 where he closed, conducting Rossini’s
"Messe Solennelle". Together with the "Løgumkloster Vocal Ensemble" Sven-Ingvart Mikkelsen worked with a most versatile repertoire. Among others, the choir performed at concerts with Bach cantatas, Handel’s
"Messiah", English romantic music, old madrigals, Danish songs and
ballads, "Wiener-Lieder", arrangements of Gerschwin, evergreens and much more. Furthermore the choir recorded two CD’s from the publisher
"Classico". 1997 Saint-Saëns’ Christmas Oratory which was highly praised by the critics and spring 2002 a recording with new psalms and the cantata
"Cross Silhouettes" by Aksel Krogslund Olesen, with lyrics by Lisbeth Smedegaard Andersen.
At Frederiksborg Castle Church Sven-Ingvart Mikkelsen is the leader of the church choir, counting 10 excellent singers. This choir has been the foundation at a Bach concert November 2002 and at a performance of Händel’s
"Messias" in December 2002.
